Topper's Mountain Barrel Ferment Sauvignon Blanc 2013

This wine is what the label says: a barrel fermented sauvignon blanc.  It has citrus, cedar and peachy aromatics that remind of chardonnay.  The palate has lychee, passionfruit and pineapple juice tropical juice flavours that are very pure and dare I say accurate, if unusually so.  There's good length on the finish, but the cedar assists this.  The oak plays an important role in this wine, which will either divide or please as fits your palate.  (Region: New England, New South Wales, Rating: Good, Would I buy it based on this tasting? It's well made, but not a style I seek out, Drink: now, Tasted: May, 2017, Source:
