Blue Wren No516 Single Vineyard Rosé

This wine is made from merlot grapes grown in Mudgee.  I'm not entirely clear whether the "16" in the big font is intended to be a reference to the vintage, i.e. 2016 and this is the "No 5" wine à la Yarra Yering style labelling or whether the wine is intended to be sold as a non-vintage wine and it happens to be called "No516".  In the glass, there are aromas of ripe red apples - think fresh royal galas.  The palate is dry, with strawberry and raspberry notes.  It's a perfectly pleasant and fresh rosé.  (Alc: 13.5%, Region: Mudgee, Rating: Good, Drink: now, Tasted: May, 2017, Source: Sample)
