Highland Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

This is a fairly serious cabernet sauvignon from a label in Orange I have not previously encountered.  It has restrained aromas of violets, cooking spices, smoke and warm red fruits.  The palate has fresh acidity and is a cool climate cabernet expression in style and classy in bearing.  It resembles a slightly warmer version of a Yarra Valley cabernet.  The finish is not particularly long, but it's in a style that may put on weight with time.  (Region: Orange, Rating: Good, Would I buy it based on this tasting? Not yet, Drink: 2022 to 2027, Tasted: April, 2017, Source: Sample)
