Le Rocher des Violettes Cabernet Franc 2014


I see few Touraines locally, but it's the most important of the Loire wine regions and is a catch all appellation, taking in Bourgueil, Chinona and Vouvray among others.  This one's a cabernet franc from Le Rocher des Violettes.  It's an honourable effort, with a lighter bodied note and tobacco and raspberry overtones.  (Region: Touraine, Loire Valley, France, Rating: Acceptable to Good, Drink: now, Tasted: Mar, 2017)
