Toolangi Estate Chardonnay 2014

This is a lovely chardonnay release from Toolangi in the Yarra Valley.  Made at Oakridge, the fruit is from Toolangi's Dixon's Creek vineyard.  In terms of style, malolactic fermentation is held back and the wine is aged in 40% new French oak.  In the glass, there are aromatics of lemon and cashew.  The palate is fresh with good length and lemon characters predominant.
