Domaine Dubreuil-Fontaine Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru 2009

Continuing the Burgundy theme, this wine is from a Grand Cru vineyard, Les Bressandes that sits within the appellation of Corton.  Corton, as I am prone to forget, is almost entirely a red wine appellation (90.25 hectares red, 4.53 hectares white).  It's situated in the Côte de Beaune in the commune of Aloxe-Corton.  The opportunity to taste Grand Cru Burgundy does not come frequently and this wine from the 2009 vintage holds some interest.  It has aromatics that are bright with sweet and sour raspberry and berry compote reminders.  The palate has towards long length, with plums and raspberry flavours.  The acidity frames this wine neatly, and the finish opened up and expanded with time in the glass.  A veritable peacock's tail.
