Ninth Island Sauvignon Blanc 2015

After a wet, cold and long Melbourne winter, it's nice to see the mercury finally reach 20c yesterday, and a balmy 24c today.  This wine from Ninth Island, sourced from a vineyard on the Tamar River in Tasmania 70 kilometres from Pipers Brook, suited the sunny mood.  Its aromatics are unmistakably sav blanc.  Passionfruit, pineapple and some fresh green capsicum.  The palate is balanced, with flavours of lemon and grass on the palate, medium length and the acidity just right.  This is a good example of its style.  Good
