Clos Puy Arnaud Cuvée Pervenche 2011

The label of this wine from Clos Puy Arnaud in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux (an appellation due east of Saint Émilion in Bordeaux) looked comforting, and it turns out this is my second encounter with this biodynamic and well regarded producer.  Happily, the wine is as good as when I last looked at it.  Its aromatics and palate have continued to develop, with more fruit cake, chocolate and earth characters from its substantial merlot contribution.  Most of all, it has very good balance in the glass.  Good to Very Good
