Punt Road Airlie Bank Pinot Noir 2014

The 2014 Airlie Bank pinot noir is a tasty new pinot noir release from Punt Road in the Yarra Valley.  It's a blend of four pinot clones - the MV6, 777, 115 and D1V7, sees some natural yeast, 10% old oak and a sprinkle of whole bunches in the ferment (12%).  In the glass, the aromatics remind of plum skins, cherry and spice.  The palate is medium bodied, with cherry and spice flavours and some gentle stems on the back palate from the whole bunch.  A charming wine.  Good
