Krug Grand Cuvée Brut Champagne

A first encounter with Krug.  It's a seriously impressive Champagne, and exceeded all expectations. Its aromatics remind of lemon, toast, yeast, nectarines and strawberries.  The palate has very long length on the finish, with fine bubbles and flavours of brioche, toast, lemon and a clarity to it.  The underlying base wine is simply delicious and this is a deserved Champagne icon.  Outstanding
