Yeringberg Shiraz 2011

Yeringberg is a very good Yarra Valley producer whose wines I don't have enough of in the cellar.  As much as I enjoy their wines, they are just that bit too expensive.  Their 2011 shiraz is very good, particularly for the vintage.  I spotted it by the glass at the very good Meletos in the Yarra Valley, the bottle freshly opened.  The aromatics remind of cracked pepper, spice, game and bouquet garnis.  The palate has similar flavours, with a lovely balance and elegance.  Just right.  G
