Chateau de la Prégentière Rosé de Provence 2012

I recall tasting this wine's quite lovely rosé sibling some weeks ago here.  Well, by weeks, in fact I mean months; time just passes too quickly for my liking.  The Chateau de la Prégentière rosé is a step up again from the Domaine wine, and is quite a considered version of Rosé de Provence.  Salmon pink in colour, it has some depth of aromatics, with notes reminding of strawberry, peach, raspberry and florals, together with some salt and stone characters.  The palate is framed by refreshing acidity, which balances its flavours reminding of florals, strawberry and raspberry.  More serious in intent than many rosés, while retaining the freshness that a good Rosé de Provence brings, this is a definite buy.

Rating: Good, Abv: 13%, Price: $32, Source: sample, Vendors: http://www.cesoirwine.com/, Website: http://www.lapregentiere.fr, Tasted: 2014
