Ross Hill Pinnacle Series Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Grown at 750 metres of altitude, this sauvignon blanc from the Orange region works well.  Although many of its competitors over the ditch in Marlborough are cheaper than this offering.  The wine has aromatics of lemon, grass and yellow grapefruit.  Thankfully, tinned asparagus is eschewed.  The palate achieves a balance between racy acidity and flavours that remind most of lemon and yellow grapefruit.
