Queens Pinch Vineyard Brut Sparkling NV

The Queens Pinch Vineyard "Brut" is made from 100% chardonnay, it appears to have been made using the traditional method and spent 12 months on its lees.  It's good to see more local producers producing sparkling wines using the traditional method, rather than the lesser transfer or tank methods.  It's a pale lemon in colour and the bubbles are mid sized.  The aromatics remind of lemons with some biscuit character.  The palate is what I would describe as mostly dry, with balanced flavours, towards medium length and a delicate mousse.  This is a perfectly pleasant sparkling wine.

Rating: Good, Abv: 13%, Price: $30, Source: sample, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com/, Website: http://www.queenspinch.com, Tasted: 2014
