Queens Pinch Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Queens Pinch in Mudgee, a label that is new to me, have fashioned a very good cabernet sauvignon here indeed.  Certainly, it stands out as a high quality wine.  A deep ruby in colour, it has classic cabernet aromatics of blackcurrant, clove and some chocolate.  The palate has blackcurrant, cedar and dark cherry flavours, while the finish is remarkably long and balance is achieved.  Overall, this is a very good wine due to its balance and very long length, and has entered its drinking prime now.

Rating: Very Good, Abv: 13.5%, Price: $28, Source: sample, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com/, Website: http://www.queenspinch.com, Tasted: 2014
