Thorn Clarke Shotfire Shiraz 2006

Apologies for the "mood lighting" on this photo.  Thorn Clarke's "Shotfire" shiraz from the 2006 vintage is a solid Barossa shiraz offering, with aromatics of cedar, dark cherry and blackcurrant.  The oak verges on obvious.  The palate has medium to long length, and is an exercise in black fruits and mulberry.  Overall, this is a good quality shiraz that is ready to drink now, although I would have preferred the oak dialled back somewhat.  Good
