Chateau de Ségries Tavel 2011

It's taken me a while to taste a "Tavel", one of France's most famous rosé appellations, but here it is.  Funnily enough, this wine squarely reminds of a Turkey Flat rosé (also made from grenache), which is one of Australia's best wines of this style, certainly in my humble opinion.  The wine has youthful aromatics of raspberry, white nectarine and a little peach.  The palate is dry with towards high acid, alcohol and body, and flavours remind of stone fruit, raspberry and strawberries with a medium length finish.  This is a good quality sort of a rosé that provides interest, balance and some flesh.  Acceptable to Good
