Cleveland Pinot Noir 1998

Cleveland was a very good producer of pinot noir and chardonnay in the Macedon Ranges.  I've tasted the 1998 pinot noir a couple of times, and in each case, the style is a resolutely masculine Burgundian like expression.  Most recently, in 2015, this wine had aromatics of dried herbs, bacon and leafy characters.  The palate similar.  An earlier bottle in 2012 was more over the hill.  A good wine, but drink up.  G
