Cleveland Pinot Noir 1996

Some of Cleveland's pinot noir (and chardonnay) from the 1990s remains in compellingly good shape.  Herbs, leather, cherries and fruit were still evident in this 15 year old wine, with acidity and some length on the palate.  I tasted this wine blind, and the herby note gave it away to me as an Australian, but it is very "Burgundian" in style.  Good
