Yalumba The Scribbler Cabernet Shiraz 2008

Yalumba's "The Scribbler" had an aroma of oak and chalk with a slight dusty element.  The palate showed rich, good quality, fruit, which I initially thought was completely non-varietal for a cabernet sauvignon, until I realised that 35% of the blend was shiraz.  That then made sense.  83 points.
