Villa Antinori Toscana IGT 2006

This is another label that captivated me with an earlier vintage (specifically, the superb 2003).  The 2003 was so good that I still eagerly await the annual release of this wine, but while the wines are always solid, the earlier magic so far has not been repeated.  The 2006 had an aroma of cherries, and a dusty savoury note, while the palate showed racy acidity and a bit of length.  A good wine, if a bit safe.  Rating: Good.  Abv: 13.5%.  Price: $30
