Killara Park Estate Merlot 2005

This wine is sourced from the southern reaches of the Yarra Valley, an area that seems to produce some high quality fruit.  A very fruit forward, rich and evocative aroma of plums, which promised much.  The palate however was quite soft, with only a little length.  Pleasant, but I was hoping for more.  82 points.
